How unit progress is tracked and where your syllabus data lives.
Where is my semester progress stored?
Your subjects and unit checkboxes are saved locally in your browser's LocalStorage under the key suh-semester-v1. Nothing is ever uploaded — the tracker is fully local-first, so your data stays on your device.
What counts as a unit?
A unit is one checkbox per subject — typically a chapter or module of the syllabus. When you add a subject you choose how many units it has, then tick each one as you finish revising it. Overall progress is simply completed units divided by total units.
Can I back up or clear my progress?
Yes. The Export button downloads your current semester as a .json file using the browser's built-in Blob download — no libraries involved. The Clear semester button wipes everything after a confirmation dialog, which is handy once a term ends.
